Noel and Christie - Owners/Operators and their staff welcome you to Resort Lodge backpacker, Queenstown.

Resort Lodge is centrally located in downtown Queenstown, yet it is also on a quiet one-way street. You don’t need to walk up a hill to get to us. The bus stop is within easy walking distance, and some of the buses will drop you off right at our door. For those traveling in vehicles, we have limited off-street parking, and there is also free on-street parking. A supermarket is just around the corner from us. The outdoor downtown mall, all the shops, restaurants and pubs, and beautiful Queenstown Bay are only a hop and a skip away.

The lodge itself is a modern 3-story building with plenty of windows that let in light and views of the town. Upstairs it has 2 well-equipped kitchens, and these are connected by a spacious outside terrace. The terrace is a sun-trap that is popular all year round. It features a barbecue with tables and chairs and soft-drink dispenser. This is also where we serve 'hangis' (Maori roast dinners) with a keg of beer when groups get together. Beautiful hanging flower baskets add their special ambience.

Downstairs is another outdoor garden area. The soundproofed TV lounge is also downstairs, and includes a video and DVD player with a large selection of free videos and DVDs. The lodge has bedrooms and bathrooms both upstairs and downstairs. All of the share rooms sleep no more than 4 except for 2 that sleep 6. All beds are fully made up. Some of the rooms have their own TV, and all of them have their own phone for making or receiving calls. We have jet-stream Internet access - $2 for 30 min. – plus wireless internet for laptops.
